A number of different properties of filters can be measured. Pore size distribution and permeability of filters, films and other sheet materials can be determined using the liquid displacement porosimetry method first introduced in the Coulter Porometer. The new Porometer provides these measurement and additional options such as liquid permeability and filter blockage rate.

Complete filter testing systems can be constructed to the user’s requirements or single components such as aerosol/particle generators, Optical particle counters/CPC’s, dilutors etc can be supplied. Specialised systems for monitoring exhaust gas particulate emissions are also available.
