From basic ‘click and measure’ image analysis software to fully automated, robotic microscopy, Meritics has a wide range of solutions for image analysis. Particle shape, size and morphology measurements can be automated into routines to eliminate operator bias and fatigue. In process measurements with the Particle Image Analyser allow changes to be quickly identified and corrected, and the identification of contaminating particles or species of organism can be obtained from the FlowCAM.

Dynamic Imaging
Each individual particle can be imaged and recorded using dynamic imaging to provide a wide range of shape and morphology factors for each image. Image Understanding allows like images to be recognised and grouped together so that for example, silicone oil droplets or aggregates in a protein solution can be distinguished or the proportion of viable/non viable yeast cells can be determined.
Imaging can also be used to study powder flowability, granulation/caking and fluidisation.
