Meritics acquires Lawson Scientific Ltd

Meritics Ltd announces the acquisition of Lawson Scientific Limited.

Lawson Scientific is one of the UK’s leading companies in providing materials characterisation measurements and analysis for a wide range of customers, including the pharmaceutical, chemical environmental and food industries. The acquisition will complement and enhance Meritics’ current particle and material characterisation business and provide opportunities to expand their range of sample testing and consultancy offered. Lawson Scientific will continue to operate separately within the Meritics organisation.

Brian Miller, Meritics Director, said, “there is a need for a quality independent sample analysis testing capability, and we believe that the acquisition of Lawson Scientific will provide the basis to enable us to fulfil this need. Lawson Scientific will move from its Harrogate base to larger facilities at the new Meritics building.
