Soil and sediment analysis is essential for human beings, which provides fingerprints to their origin. The main categories of soil and sediment analysis include hydrology and geology studies. Particle size and shape are challenging in soil and sediment analysis. Why? Soil samples are polymorphic and always cover a wide size distribution range.
